Search Engineer Job Description

Search engineers are also known as SEO specialists. Their main function is to analyze the websites of clients to implement changes for optimized search engine results. They have in-depth knowledge of keyword related searches, as well as how to write specific SEO copy. Search engineers identify an organization's goals to understand who their target audience is in order to boost web traffic sales or marketing. They set up strategies to improve search engine rankings on platforms like Google, Bing and Yahoo. Search engineers maximize web traffic for organizations by adding specific phrases or keywords, fixing structural issues, rewriting HTML title tags, testing website layouts and finding valuable inbound links or increasing backlinks. They also keep up to date with the latest SEO standards to maintain an understanding of what criteria for SERP (Search Engine Results Page) the search engine platforms are using.
