They may also be responsible for data migration, security and troubleshooting as well as system upgrades.
Database Administrators typically work on teams with data analysts, network engineers, software designers and other data specialists. Because of this, strong analytic skills and effective communication are core requirements for the job. They are responsible for backing up data in the event of a disaster. Database Administrators may work as general-purpose DBAs or be assigned specific tasks within an organization, in line with their needs.
