Computer Vision Engineer Salary in Denver

Computer Vision Engineer Job Description

Computer vision engineers automate the human visual system. They handle tasks responsible for processing and analyzing digital images, and determine methods for acquiring them. Through the use of Python, C++, Matlab and other image processing languages, they gain a better understanding of digital images and the processes needed to create them.

Computer vision engineers are responsible for systems that control face and object recognition, such as those used in many smartphones, security systems and computers. They use their skills to create applications that can classify, search and find exact matches to images, often using local or global descriptors. They create algorithms that mimic human vision, enabling computers and mobile devices to analyze images within defined parameters. Computer vision engineers also require an understanding of function sequences, including preprocessing, color conversion, filtering and downscaling.
