Los Angeles is the financial, cultural and commercial center of Southern California. After New York City, it is the largest city in the United States in terms of population, making it a place that is rife with opportunity for those who live there. The city generally follows a grid plan, which makes navigating the town relatively easy. The majority of Los Angeles is characterized by lowrise buildings, though downtown LA has a number of skyscrapers.
There's much to do in Los Angeles. In addition to the many fine restaurants and excellent nightlife that you can partake in, there are plenty of theaters, fine arts and even observatories that you can go to. Of course, Hollywood is also part of Los Angeles, which has much to offer as well.
