Search Engineer Job Description

A search engineer's main role is to assess the websites of clients to make changes for optimized search engine results. They can be an individual consultant, a company employee or work for a consulting firm. Search engineers are also known as SEO specialists. They understand keyword related searches and how to write specific SEO copy. Search engineers can easily figure out a company's goals in order to know who the target audience is to boost web traffic sales or marketing. They set up a plan to improve search engine rankings on platforms like Google, Bing and Yahoo. These engineers are aware of the newest SEO standards for understanding the search engine results pages (SERPs) the search engine platforms are using. They also maximize web traffic for companies by fixing structural issues, adding particular phrases or keywords, rewriting HTML title tags, testing website layouts and finding valuable inbound links or increasing backlinks.

Living and Working in Seattle

The Emerald City has a growing business and professional services industry. Its technology and biotech sectors are expanding with companies like Cray Inc., Juno Therapeutics and ZymoGenetics. There are also plenty of startups from entrepreneurs wanting to expand off the successes of Internet businesses such as Classmates.com, Amazon and Allrecipes.com. Seattle's port is one of the largest trading hubs in the United States.

Residents take advantage of the bike trails during pleasant weather, as well as public transportation when needed.
