Data Analysts are tasked with collecting, processing and analyzing large blocks of data. They translate large, complex data and use it in helping companies to make more informed decisions. Part of their duties may include designing and carrying out surveys, tracking key performance indicators, developing record management policies and monitoring data quality.
Data Analysts work across different industries, including finance, sales, manufacturing, consulting and marketing. Entry-level data analyst jobs typically require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, computer science or a related field. Data Analysts are expected to have good communication and analytical skills. They must also be able to provide clear analysis using written, verbal or visual communication.
