Job Description

Facebook's Augmented Reality (AR) team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our systems will enable AR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire system architecture from silicon, through firmware and hardware sub-systems, to system level performance.

The Facebook AR/VR team focuses on delivering Facebook's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). You'll be a critical member of a multi-disciplinary integration team contributing to our efforts to gain a scientific understanding of human and machine perception, audio, input, optics, display technology, and translating it into the ultimate experience for our users. Our product engineering team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies into products. We are focused on integrating and launching new technologies from early concept, while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.

Facebook's AR/VR organization brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform.

The Protoline team has the responsibility for building early prototypes to provide the HW development teams capability to iterate to full solutions. As the Test and Data Infrastructure Lead, you will drive the development and deployment of data infrastructure systems for in-line tests. You will also lead the planning and implementation of these systems to support other design and validation teams to ensure a common data platform. You will be heavily involved in troubleshooting issues on test and automation systems. You will help define overall test strategy, evaluate test equipment and create qualification processes. The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual working in a cross-functional team environment and will be responsible for planning the design, development, and implementation of test systems and data infrastructure. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. We are looking for someone with a productive mindset who can apply their expertise to solve problems in creative, insightful ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with internal and vendor teams to identify the resource needs to meet test requirements from both technical perspective as well as manufacturing considerations



Lead development and implementation of manufacturing test strategy during development phases of product life cycle

Lead internal and vendor test teams to design and assemble bench setups and test fixtures

Develop methodology with teams to implement and validate manufacturing tests, troubleshoot and solve issues during early product development

Work directly with the test engineers providing guidance and support as necessary in test methods, equipment, and test set-ups

Manage test data infrastructure implementation for broader integration teams, supporting design verification and system test development as well as manufacturing line test data

Evaluate, select and implement test data infrastructure to enable data integrity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* BS or MS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience



4+ years of experience in consumer electronic product development manufacturing

Experience with the hardware development cycle, with experience in product introductions for consumer electronics

Experience in test development and frameworks to enable test coverage and data analysis

Experience managing groups of engineers and technicians in their daily work, as well as building a team

Experience with data systems infrastructure for test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience developing and implementing test data infrastructure from scratch



Experience with module test and manufacturing processes with direct experience managing manufacturing test implementation and execution

Experience with defining, developing, and troubleshooting test issues

Experience with building cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization
