QA Manual Test Engineers are responsible for quality assurance testing of software using manual processes. A QA Manual Test Engineer must be extremely detail-oriented in order to effectively execute test cases, look for bugs and glitches and report issues to the proper technical staff. QA Manual Test Engineers are responsible for ensuring that the company's products, systems and applications function properly.
An applicant for the QA Manual Test Engineer position should have prior related work experience, for example as a project manager. They should also have knowledge of regression testing, Agile frameworks, SQL and test management software such as qTest and Zephyr. QA Manual Test Engineers need exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with others. A BA/BS in engineering, computer science or a related field is often required.
