Backend Engineers write code that communicates database information to browsers. Often using Java, .NET, C++ and more, backend engineers interact with different teams to build, maintain and extend features, APIs and test suites. They may deal with either the infrastructure hardware or the data access layer for software.
By building backend code, backend engineers help evolve existing architecture while implementing new functionality. In order to understand end-user requirements, backend engineers work with product and design teams to build and implement solutions.
