Technical program managers work with different organizational teams to deliver services and SaaS products to the market. They create project plans, develop product specifications, manage software development and mitigate risks for the entire product lifecycle. These managers work closely with customer and business stakeholders to define requirements and product objectives to meet market demands.

Technical program managers deal with technical issue tracking, and implementing solutions as the need arises for them. Communication of project statuses and recommended changes are pivotal in most roles, and require good written and oral skills. These program managers are also responsible for analyzing potential bottlenecks and technical constraints, and suggesting changes that will positively affect these outcomes. Technical program managers review and test code and provide leadership to ensure that all project deadlines are met, and completed within the organization's budget.
