Mobile Engineers are specialists who create software and applications for devices like tablets and phones. They do this either through creating components from the ground up or combining existing technologies to create new applications. Mobile Engineers must be comfortable writing code, creating an intuitive UI (User Interface) and completing the application lifecycle.
It is essential that Mobile Engineers be excellent team members, as they rarely work alone. Usually, they collaborate with a product development team and, in some cases, work directly with clients. Mobile Engineers need to be expert programmers, problem solvers, communicators and be comfortable working under strict deadlines.

Outside of these corporations, some of the largest employers are in the city of Austin and the University of Texas.
