Unity
What is Unity?
Unity is a popular game engine and development environment that allows rapid development of games targeting many platforms, including: PC, Mac, WebGL, Android, iOS, tvOS, XBox 360, XBox One, PS4, 3DS, Wii U, Switch, and others. Developers wrote code in C#, and/or native languages (commonly C++). They can then compose components together with art assets into reusable "prefabs", and "scenes" to build a game. This compositional approach, combined with Unity's powerful asset pipeline creates a workflow that is incredibly fluid, making it easy for coders, artists, level designers, and game designers to collaborate.
