Software Engineering is a profession in which a person develops informational systems from the ground up and is integral in installing and modifying software solutions for a variety of tasks. Job duties in this field frequently require the person to determine feasibility of any given program by evaluating problems, evaluating data and proposing needed solutions. Those in the Software Engineering field are also required to produce in-depth documentation on how to use the software, which often includes being able to put together layouts, charts, diagrams and code comments within a given project.
