Such duties in the health and wellness industry involve the development of community resources and health content, creating health and wellness strategy plans, managing communication between various clients and remaining up to date on trending health and wellness information. Depending on the position, a bachelor's degree in a health-related field may be required. Other types of required certifications may include a health education specialist certification or an intrinsic coaching certification. Several years of experience in the health and wellness field may also be required. Skills that are important in the industry may also include knowledge of software and social media applications, excellent communication skills, flexibility and adaptability.
