  1. Improved matching for on-site and hybrid positions
  2. New ways to source by skill
  3. Improved global candidate matching and new currencies
  4. Role type consolidation for easier talent sourcing
  5. SmartRecruiters ATS integration
  6. Job Search Assistant by Hired in ChatGPT
  7. Real-time feedback for jobseekers

1. Better matching for on-site and hybrid roles

We surveyed employers on Hired about their 2024 hiring plans and found that in-office and hybrid hiring is ramping up. Data revealed that 50% of employers plan on hiring for hybrid roles and 22% plan on hiring for in-office positions. Meanwhile, only 17% are planning for remote roles.

Our new update allows employers to get specific for on-site and hybrid hiring. When it comes to return-to-office, we know candidates have strong preferences. This product release makes it easier to differentiate between hybrid and fully on-site roles during position creation and filter candidates accordingly.

For hybrid roles, employers see the number of days a candidate is willing to be on-site before opening their profile.

To get started, simply create a new position or open the filters for an existing position and click “On-site” or “Hybrid” to make the selection. For both on-site and hybrid roles, employers can select up to eight locations and limit candidates based on their proximity to selected locations by radius.

2. New ways to source by skill

Sourcing by skill is easier. Major enhancements to skill-based sourcing include:

  • Our new “Must have at least one” search field(s) allow employers to easily do “OR” filtering on Hired without the need for Boolean strings.
  • Candidate profiles now display skills by work history entry so employers can see when and where skills were last used at a glance.

Together, these features help employers connect with the most relevant candidates for roles where skill-based experience is a must. Create a new position or modify an existing one today to check them out.

3. Salary improvements use new currencies for global jobseekers and better global candidate matching

Hiring is going more global by the day! To facilitate this shift and offer transparent salary expectations alignment, our product now supports nine new currencies, including:

  1. Rupee (INR)
  2. Argentine Peso (ARS)
  3. Zloty (PLN)
  4. Mexican Peso (MXN)
  5. Real (BRL)
  6. Colombian Peso (COP)
  7. Rand (ZAR)
  8. Hungarian Forint (HUF)
  9. Romanian Leu (RON)

The update also includes:

  • A default to the employer’s selected currency when viewing candidates in search
  • Improved display of currency conversions taking place on candidate cards and profile quick view
  • Removal of lower and upper salary limits when filtering

These salary improvements upgrade the candidate experience and employer efficiency by allowing employers to:

  • Match with additional candidates across the globe who may have aligned salary expectations
  • Search with whatever currency they are most comfortable using while maintaining transparency around candidate expectations

To avoid confusion when seeking international job opportunities, we recommend jobseekers list their minimum base salary, assuming they are not relocating from their home location.

Work authorization and visa sponsorship

Finally, the update features a streamlined work authorization collection to help ensure role eligibility. Employers can collect visa sponsorship data for every country a candidate has in their location preferences and it will show up on their profile. This allows employers to filter for candidates who don’t require sponsorship, for example, more accurately.

4. Role type consolidation for easier sourcing

This update improves candidate match quality from the initial position creation. The Software Engineer role type now includes all specialties previously found under Engineering Management, QA, and DevOps. This makes it easier to source software engineers with experience in these areas and reduces the need for private searching.

5. SmartRecruiters ATS Integration is our newest Hired partner

Save time by connecting SmartRecruiters to Hired. Employers now have the option to automatically pull job details from SmartRecruiters into the Hired platform and push interested candidates directly to the linked job in SmartRecruiters. This integration also means candidate status changes made in SmartRecruiters carry over to Hired.

On average, ATS-integrated Hired customers see 46% better placement rates and send offers 10 days faster! So, follow these steps to get set up now.

6. ‘Job Search Assistant by Hired’ on ChatGPT

Our newly released Job Search Assistant by Hired in the OpenAI GPT store can help jobseekers land their next tech job. How?

This GPT can:

  • Provide career coaching
  • Make suggestions for creating and updating a strong Hired jobseeker profile
  • Suggest in-demand skills and salary expectations
  • Answer questions about how Hired works

Jobseekers can find it in the GPT store with a ChatGPT Plus account or via this link.

7. Real-time feedback for jobseekers

Our team has accelerated the onboarding process to connect candidates with the right opportunities faster. Jobseekers are notified (in real-time!) whether there are employer matches for them on the Hired platform after submitting their profile.

If there’s a match, candidates can instantly go live and choose when they want their profile promoted to those matching opportunities. But if there aren’t any matches right away, no worries! Hired will email jobseekers as soon as any relevant opportunities open up.
