My name is Mark O’Neill and I’m the General Manager at SitePoint. We’re an Education Platform that teaches people how to code and design to advance their careers by building apps and websites.
SitePoint has tutorials, courses, ebooks, and more covering in-demand coding skills such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. We’re constantly finding ways to help developers learn web development, and unlock new skills and knowledge while connecting with a community of learners.
Sounds like a fantastic resource. How did your organization come to exist?
SitePoint was started way back in 1999 as a forum for beginning web developers. Over the years we’ve evolved to produce blog articles, books, and video courses. Now in 2022, we’re a complete learning platform that offers a variety of interactive text and video courses, as well as an amazing community of over 40,000 developers and designers.
What an evolution! So how do SitePoint and Hired work together?
We’re partnering with Hired to help developers on our platform get their next great job and grow their careers. SitePoint is intimately familiar with engineering upskilling opportunities. Hired is familiar with engineering career opportunities. This is a natural fit for our developers looking for a new role!

We love getting to help the SitePoint community! What are some initiatives that your organization is currently working on?
We recently partnered with Humble Bundle to sell our best-selling courses as eBooks and raise money for two amazing charities – Active Minds and Girls Who Code.
We’re also working on some exciting new features to help developers pick the right learning path to accomplish their goals. There’s so much content out there and now it’s about finding the best lessons for the individual.
