Swift is a general purpose programming language that was developed by Apple to create software that will run on the iOS and macOS systems. Swift programmers should be familiar with the Linux platform as well as programming languages of C or C++. Developers should be proficient in Swift, which would include knowledge of its ecosystems. They should also have experience with RESTful APIs or Cocoa APIs and experience with both embedded and other system databases. Swift developers should have UI design experience and have a user-oriented focus. A valuable skill to demonstrate is the ability to benchmark and optimize code.
