Hired Says Bonjour to France!

I couldn’t be more excited to share the news that Hired is open for business in France. As our first non-English speaking market, this is a very big deal for us. Since our acquisition of Paris-based start-up Breaz earlier this year, both teams have been working around the clock to integrate the two companies and to officially open Hired’s doors for business… and today it’s a reality!

France’s tech sector has been growing rapidly over the last few years and is expected to add more than 40,000 jobs in 2016. However, the options for finding a job are particularly bad — even the most talented candidates take nearly three months to find a new role. The newly combined Breaz and Hired teams have managed to cut that down to just 21 days — a 4x increase over the national average. What’s more, the demand we’ve seen to date is evidence that both companies and candidates are looking for a better way to get connected: we’ve had more than 20,000 candidates and nearly 2,000 companies sign up for the platform.

The Breaz team has already given us a great head start from their home base in the City of Light. Exciting local startups like Slimpay, Algolia, Aircall, Dalenys (Rentabiliweb) and Oodrive are already using the service to get connected with local candidates. Now, through Hired, these fast-growing companies will be able to tap into our global marketplace of top talent.

France follows the UK as Hired’s second European office, and our sixth international city. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow our presence around the world in an effort to get everyone a job they love.
