Solutions Architects interface with the client in an attempt to understand the requirements of the client and then design and develop an appropriate solution. The Solution Architect is often the project team leader and as such is expected to provide guidance and motivation throughout the project. They are also responsible for analyzing the process flow as described by the client, creating design documents, participating in project meetings and supporting pre-sales staff.
Solutions Architects should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in either computer science or information technology. Many employers also look for good customer service skills, creativity, strong communication skills and excellent time management.
