About the role

This role will coordinate a new product build for a major multinational client, working across the product and engineering teams, and across geographies to ensure that there is clarity on the roadmap and timelines, and that the teams work together to ensure high quality delivery.

The outcome will be that we will deliver the product to a high quality, on time, which meets client expectations in terms of functionality and usability.

 

Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the development of a project plan, which will be developed in line with agile principles
  • Establish good project management practices, policies, procedures and methodologies within the team
  • Establish clear ownership for project activities, ensuring that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback
  • Track progress and review activities and timelines to ensure milestones are satisfied
  • Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to leadership teams and key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively across global teams and functions to ensure that all communications are delivered and understood
  • Facilitate productivity by ensuring that the team has the tools to succeed
  • Find and work to remove project roadblocks
  • Coordinate the budget, in order to ensure that costs are tracked and understood

 

Project Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify stakeholders and conduct stakeholder analysis
  • Analyse workflow to identify areas of improvement and optimisation in the solutions and the delivery life-cycle
  • Ensure global communications and progress reporting
  • Balance the resources across projects and priorities
  • Deliver products in line with the strategic goals of the business

 

Essential skills and requirements:

  • Extensive experience, ability and gravitas to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including 3rd parties and senior clients, to codify requirements and design solutions that are robust, practical and effective
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills to – in combination with the above hard skills – give you the necessary credibility and influence internally and externally
  • Confidence and energy to inspire and motivate the team
  • Ability to learn and understand fast complex systems and processes
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Prioritization and resource management
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with ambiguity
  • Comfortable working across geographies / time zones
  • Familiarity of working with engineers in an agile environment
  • Very solid project management skills and experience, preferably within the digital world
  • Commercial awareness; the ability to develop estimates and manage to budgets, as well as to handle difficult discussions firmly – but always tactfully – when required
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside of the box
  • Thrives in a challenging, fast paced and dynamic working environment
