CompuCom is hiring an Onsite Hardware Support Technician to support our customer in the San Ramon area. There are approximately 5,000 PC's/Printers/Servers to support at this location. Associate will have onsite office space with parts.
Required Skill Sets:• Professional and clear customer communication skills via email and telephone. • Punctual/reliable with good time management skills. • Minimum 3 years of employment in the IT industry providing Hardware Service support.• Hands on experience with service call case management tools such as Remedy, Clearvision, or other, etc.)• Hands on experience shipping/receiving parts, parts inventory, and parts tracking management.• Hands on experience ordering warranty parts though the OEM manufactures.• Hands on experience working for a "company" diagnosing and replacing PC, Server, or printer components on Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks/desktops, HP Desktops, Xerox Printers, HP ProLiant Servers, HP Blade Servers. • Self-starter with the ability to manage their service calls and our customer in an efficient, timely and professional manner.
Technician should have some or all current OEM Certifications and Tech ID's that are listed below. CompTIA A+ (Mandatory)• Lenovo Notebooks T440 and newer• Lenovo Desktops M83 and newer• HP Desktops DC8300 and newer • HP ProLiant Servers • HP ProLiant Blade Server• Xerox Printers
Other:• Reliable transportation to support offsite customers if needed. (Rare)• Willing to accept "on call" after hours Server support service duties. Mileage and OT apply.• Willing to support our Richmond location for backfill as needed. • Must pass drug and background.
