Senior Development Manager - Growth and Traffic Team Zillow

About the teamZillow is growing fast and in this role, you can help us accelerate even more! Our Growth Organization is looking for a senior technology leader to coach a crack squad of engineers working to maximize organic traffic growth at Zillow.

You will be responsible for mentoring and growing a strong team of engineers, helping define architectural direction, and identifying technology/product opportunities to explore. We believe in big autonomy, so the desire to blaze trails while empowering your team is a must.

About the role

Our team's mission is to drive organic search users to Zillow. We tackle anything from tactical SEO markup, automated site mappings for many millions of pages, to consumer projects improving the quality and uniqueness of the home shopping experience itself. We are a tight-knit team with experience across the stack, and a very collaborative work rhythm. Our code base is a mix of java, python, ReactJS, and SQL, and we're always looking for ways to improve our platform to move more quickly. Join us!

Who you are

* Must have a passion for mentorship and success through your team
* At least seven years of experience building high-volume, server-side services using Java, C++, C# or other OO languages
* At least two years of management experience
* The ability to create a dynamic, collaborative and fun team environment
* Test and learn mindset with the desire to drive the business
* Strong experience with test automation
* Experience with modern JavaScript (preferred)
