The Azure Stack team builds robust, distributed, scalable, and resilient services using modern technologies such as C#, micro-service architectures, decentralized and agent based architectures. Our Fabric team owns the distributed systems platform that makes it easy to update and manage microservices and containers, including image-based deployments, and patching and updating of container-based microservices that operate at high scale and availability. We are looking for great managers with diverse range of backgrounds and experience to build and manage the teams that will transform and modernize our infrastructure and engineering practices to deliver the next generation of Azure Stack service fabric technologies.

Required qualifications:

* BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
* 7+ years experience with delivering distributed software, with service-oriented development and cloud-based systems

Preferred qualifications:

* Demonstrated commitment to the success of others, as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers
* Strong technical abilities, problem solving, system engineering skills
* Good communication skills and a track record of cross-group/cross-discipline collaboration
* Track record of creating and transforming engineering process to deliver higher dev velocity, preferably using agile technologies
* Quick learner who thrives in an ambiguous environment
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Excellent collaboration skills and ability to be adaptable and agile in development
* Demonstrated experience as a technical lead or people manager

Cloud Background check:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
