The Xamarin division of Microsoft strives to create the best mobile development experience in the world. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help evolve our platform to the next level.

Our team is responsible for designing and developing several products, including the iOS Designer, Android Designer and the Xamarin.Forms Previewer. This includes integrating with Visual Studio on both Windows and Mac.

We work in a constantly evolving eco-system and have to be able to balance on-going feature development with the need to support all the nuances of the mobile platforms. If you have the passion for mobile development, then this could be the job for you!

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years industry experience in C#

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience WPF, AppKit and Xamarin.Mac or equivalent

Experience designing, implementing and maintaining cross platform tools

Familiarity with Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.iOS and/or Xamarin.Android

BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

We are looking for a senior software engineer to help us deliver tools to significantly improve developers' productivity. Our engineering team is responsible for delivering Visual Studio tools for Xamarin.Forms, developing both on Windows and Mac. Our broader group also provides C# and native UI tools for Xamarin Android and Xamarin iOS, and our team regularly contributes to broader initiatives across all Xamarin tooling. You will work with program managers to understand customer needs and develop experiences that make them more productive as they build great apps on our platforms.
