Lead Enterprise Monitoring Engineer

The Lead Enterprise Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development and continual improvement of the systems and services provided by the Enterprise Monitoring team. This position will lead efforts to review current functionality, identify and remediate gaps and evaluate new and replacement capabilities to improve alignment with Honeywell's strategies and direction towards operational intelligence and cognitive IT. This position is responsible for collaborating globally with all Honeywell Businesses, Service Owners, and Supplier Focals, ensuring that a solid monitoring practice and strategy is in place and integrated with the IT Service Management (ITSM) framework for automatic alerting, tracking, escalation and resolution of issues impacting Honeywell services. This role will be responsible for Honeywell's enterprise-wide strategy, implementation, and operations for end-to-end monitoring of application and infrastructure utilizing and enhancing the currently deployed technologies: Catchpoint, Geneos, AppDynamics, Splunk, VRealize Ops, Nagios, Chef, and ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible to design, implement and operate software tools and process for end-to-end monitoring of all technology assets. Honeywell's Global Enterprise Monitoring roadmap scope includes both internal technologies and external technologies
* Lead efforts to design, integrate and implement monitoring systems for core infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, applications, performance monitoring, and synthetic monitoring
* Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovation that improves system availability, resiliency, and performance
* Build end-to-end monitoring, detection and prevention tools for both internal Information technology assets and external product/go-to-market environments
* Define, drive, and implement architecture strategy for end-to-end monitoring
* Partner with the rest of the technology teams including application development, testing services, network engineering, security, and operations to establish end-to-end monitoring strategy
* Engineer monitoring solutions operations and policies to drive proactive alerts and notification
* Work with operational teams to automate proactive actions to proactively solve problems through automation
* Strategic Planning: Ability to define the problem/issue, root cause analysis, charter and resource corrective and preventive problem-solving teams to create highly robust solutions which run 24x7 with 0 down time. One Honeywell perspective to focus on enterprise value through the right level of standardization
* Use predictive analytics tools to analyze real-time data building a dynamic service model to correlate abnormalities to forecast problems and prioritize issues based on business impact

YOU MUST HAVE

* Bachelor's degree
* 10 years IT experience with 5+ yrs. Monitoring & Operations experience
* US Citizen

* Experience with Splunk, Nagios, VROps, Chef and ServiceNow preferred
* ITOM/ITSM Integration feedback loop experience
* Strong people management experience
* Experience in applications and infrastructure design, delivery & operations
* ServiceNow ITOM (Event Mgmt. & Operational Intelligence) experience
* AIOps (Artificial Intelligence Ops) strategy practice or awareness
* Experience with Datadog, NetScout, Moogsoft
* Strong technical capabilities in contemporary software driven hardware and software as services
* Futuristic-orientation, contemporary business thinker and high energy and proactive leader
* Strategic Planning: Ability to define the problem/issue, root cause analysis, charter and resource corrective and preventive problem-solving teams to create highly robust solutions which run 24x7 with 0 down time. * Strong understanding of monitoring industry best practices to aid in evolving Honeywell's processes / standards
* Manage multiple vendors with excellent partnership orientation and long-term enterprise strategy in mind
* Strong operation management experience including understanding of critical incident resolution, rapid problem solving and critical and strategic thinking to take the best course of action for the enterprise (ability to manage crisis)
* Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies a big plus to produce in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and presentation skills
