Job Description

Major Objectives

* Design and develop solutions for internal and external clients using Liferay Digital Experience Platform.
* Assist in migrating existing applications from Liferay Portal to Liferay Digital Experience Platform.
* Work with project stakeholders to analyze and refine requirements.
* Provide feedback and input to product team to help improve Liferay's product offerings.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
* Strong experience with Java development
* Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP (or similar)
* Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins)
* Experience in writing software in one or more languages, such as JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, C++ or similar.
* Business proficiency of written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

* 1+ years of UNIX/Linux system administration in heterogeneous environments
* Love of learning
* Very good at writing enterprise strength Java / J2EE code
* Humble
* Expert knowledge of databases (MySQL, Oracle)
* Experience with Tomcat
* Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, Servlets/JSP, Spring and Hibernate, application performance and performance tuning
* Prior experience with Liferay or other portal solutions a plus
* Flexible, proven ability to work well under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal skills
