Job Description

Whole Foods is looking for a BI Systems Administrator with a strong desire to provide stewardship for our analytic tools and data. We seek candidates who have a passion for data and a driven attitude to grow and drive our analytic capabilities.

Responsibilities

* Design, implement, and support environments to enable large-scale, distributed analytics
* Write scripts to automate processes or allow for custom integration on analytic platforms
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure platform success
* Teach best practices by delivering trainings, participating in office hours, and mentoring users
* Proactively identify issues by developing and/or leveraging monitoring and alerting tools
* Write complex SQL queries and create solutions to develop new capabilities
* Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
* 1 - 3 years of technical support experience in an enterprise analytic environment
* 1 - 3 years of experience writing SQL
* 1 - 3 years developing visualizations using Tableau
* 1 - 3 years with scripting - python, shell, or powershell
* Experience supporting analytic environments like: Tableau, Alteryx, Microstrategy
* Must have enthusiasm for Amazon and Whole Foods Market's products and core values
* Comfortable working on a team where results are based on cooperation, collaboration, and influencing others.
* Willing to work in an evolving role and comfortable with ambiguity
* Motivated to develop expertise in our data, tools, and industry trends
* Strong analytic capability and organizational skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Desire to learn new technologies to support our mission and enhance our business

Pluses

* Experience with AWS Services: Redshift, Athena, Glue
* Exposure to cloud architecture
