Job Description

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

* Installation of Windows servers
* Maintenance of Windows and possibly some Linux servers, including
* OS Patching
* Driver upgrades
* Performing upgrades to instances, storage, or networking configs


* Installation and maintenance of services such as IIS, Weblogic, Apache, etc.
* Installation and maintenance of application software including Deltek applications and third party software used to provide service to Deltek's cloud customers
* Management of network monitoring and paging systems
* Automation of repetitive processes using Powershell, AWS Systems Manager, and other technologies
* Production of both process documentation and technical documentation
* Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents both on- and off-shift as required to maintain business operational objectives

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience:

* 7+ years experience Windows system administration
* 5+ years experience in a hosting environment
* 3+ years of experience with AWS
* Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems
* Strong knowledge of server applications (AD, IIS, Weblogic, Tomcat)
* Ability to troubleshoot applications running on Windows using debugdiag or similar tools
* Ability to develop scripts using Powershell
* Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager
* Ability to automate AWS infrastructure management using Powershell and the AWS CLI
* Ability to install and configure various operating systems, databases, and applications
* Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools including PRTG, CloudWatch, Splunk, and Solarwinds DPA
* Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements
* Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems
* Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with staff, peers, and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems

Nice to have:

* AWS, Microsoft, or other relevant certification
* Working knowledge of Linux systems administration
* Working knowledge of ERP and accounting systems
* Experience with high availability and disaster recovery strategies
* Experience with automated deployment technologies
* Familiarity with configuration management tools (cfEngine, puppet, etc)
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and Internet protocols
