Associate Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Associate engineers work under close supervision and with detailed direction from more senior engineer classifications. Associate engineers perform professional engineering or computational assignments of a routine degree of complexity with limited latitude for independent action and decision. The associate engineer will prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for assignments of moderate difficulty where technical supervision provides an outline of tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedures to be followed.

This position requires experience and understanding of embedded systems/programs concepts and familiarity with scripting languages. The position entails supporting requirements and design activities, updating code for enhancements, analyzing anomalies and updating code, performing static and dynamic analysis, working with target hardware the in lab, and updating technical documentation. The successful candidate must be a self starter who thrives in a team environment, demonstrates initiative and has previous software development experience outside of coursework.

Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline, and a passion to pursue a career with L-3 IEC.

Good written and oral communication skills are required. Prior technical internship and/or related work experience is desirable.

Special Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD classified information.
