Overview

The enterprise security space is thriving, and Akamai is growing with it! We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to work on Akamai's Zero Trust security initiatives. You will design and develop automated test cases for Device Posture solution to ensure a high level of quality and reliability. As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

* Creating comprehensive test designs and plans, working closely with development engineers
* Creating white/black box test cases and develop target test applications based on identified use cases
* Investigation and root cause analysis of technical issues and documenting found software defects
* Collaborating with team members on testing activities
* Estimation and tracking of test efforts

About the Team

Akamai's Enterprise Division is a dynamic business unit responsible for developing Enterprise Security, Identity, and Application Access products to enable customer Enterprise IT and Security teams. These solutions provide fast and reliable enterprise application access and help mitigate endpoint malware and phishing attempts to help provide safer, easier, and faster security transformations. Ultimately, our goal is to secure, protect, and accelerate all Enterprise communications as a cloud gateway service. The division consists of product management, engineering, sales and technical pre-sales, product marketing, business development, and product support, and works closely with several other groups within Akamai and our external partners.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent or
* Relevant experience and a Master's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

Required Skills

* 1+ years of experience with Python scripting and automation in Linux/Unix
* 1+ years of experience working with automated continuous integration environments

Desired Skills

* Experience with testing of VPN systems (IPSec, TLS, SSL)
* Experience testing REST-based API
* Experience with AWS systems usage and configuration
* Experience with virtualization and containers
* Ability to reason about and troubleshoot complex systems
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, results oriented team
* Understanding of Agile software methodology
