Job Description

Senior Software Engineer sought by Nexmo Inc. in San Francisco, CA, 40 hrs./wk. Duties:

Participate in development and maintenance of the OpenTok cross-platform library (OTKit),

written in C/C++, which is the core of all native platform SDK. Engage in all aspects of the

software development life-cycle. Design new APIs to solve specified requirements, and provide

feedback on API design. Conduct continuous analysis to measure and improve the SDK

performance (e.g. CPU, Memory, connectivity latency, etc.). Own end-to-end development for

new features and collaborate with cloud, testing and support teams to ensure performance and

quality. Fix bugs in our native platform SDKs that are reported by our customers and by our QA

Engineers. Min. Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or

related or foreign equivalent, and 5 years of experience as Software Engineer or related. 4 years

of experience in C/C++ programming. 4 years of experience in Objective-C, Swift or Java

programming languages. 4 years of experience in Building client-side application software and

client-server architectures. 4 years of experience in Thread and memory management systems. 2

years of experience in Mobile development in either Android or iOS. 2 years of experience in

SDK or library development. 2 years of experience in Real-time communications engines (eg.

WebRTC) and/or audio/video codecs. 2 years of experience in Power management on mobile or

embedded devices. 2 years of experience in Resource optimization on mobile or embedded

devices. 2 years of experience in Wireless network reliability on mobile or embedded devices. 2

years of experience in Code coverage tools. 2 years of experience in Test automation. 2 years of
