Job Summary

IT Project Management focuses on projects that primarily involve software development and some hardware/infrastructure projects. The IT Project Manager oversees one or more projects as part of the team. Individually, or as part of a team, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for project planning and statusing, risk management, and issue resolution. Duties may include: assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project, communicating project status and issues to the team and management, acting to reduce risk and resolve issues. Coordinates with other projects and work groups during the project. Works with key stakeholders to create necessary project artifacts.

Responsibilities

* Independently oversees programs or multiple projects, typically of large size and complexity.
* Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects
* Developing project deliverables including project plans, schedules, and status reports
* Facilitating meetings including preparing agendas and coordinating schedules and materials, documenting meeting minutes, following-up on action items; gathering, organizing and distributing project related documentation
* Participate in the creation and execution of project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
* Strong Leadership skills: Ability to build team cohesiveness to achieve results
* Strong Management skills: Ability to lead and mentor project managers
* Minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects; Conducts risk monitoring and controls during a project's duration to ensure ability to achieve expected outcomes, on time and on budget
* Strong Project Accounting skills: Manage project budgets: including development of project cost estimates and forecasting
* Manages the integration of vendor tasks, tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
* Professional communication is a must: Communicates project status to team and business owners throughout the duration of the assignment to make certain all impacted stakeholders understand the risks, issues and activities related to the project
* Confronts issues openly and quickly, tactfully communicates sensitive information
* Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion and respect for the individual
* Listens to others and accepts input from team members
* Uses skills as an independent, seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures.
* Troubleshoots and guides others on a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
* Detects and resolves situations that may cause risk to the project and its completion.
* Manages projects ranging from $1MM to $5MM, typically lasting 12 months or more
* May concurrently lead 2-3 large projects or is Program Manager for a track.

Qualifications

* 12 years' experience or more with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Visio)
* 8- 12 years' experience with Microsoft Project and PPM Tools
* 8 - 12 years or more Title insurance/Mortgage acumen and IT experience
* Understanding varies IT delivery methodologies (RUP, ITIL, Agile, Waterfall)
* Leadership skills to inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
* PMP Certificate Required
* CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Preferred
* Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification desired
* Detail oriented possessing high organization and planning skills strong analytical skills as well as ability to work independently and within a team environment with high organization and planning skills
* Strong Leadership skills: Ability to build team cohesiveness to achieve results
* Strong Project Accounting skills: Manage project budgets: including develops project cost estimates and forecasting
