Job Description

Duties: Performing database and ETL development for multi-terabyte database warehouse solutions and supporting multiple lines of business within the Regional Bank. Designing and developing highly performant databases, tables, views, stored procedures, user defined functions, SSIS packages, indexes and keys, and other database objects using Microsoft SQL Server. Acting as a subject matter expert and providing support in all areas of expertise. Utilizing Team Foundation Services (TFS) for code management and work assignments and performing all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in waterfall and agile project methodologies. Understanding, monitoring and creating complex ETL job scheduling. Designing relational and dimensional databases, and performing logical and physical data modeling, data analytics and data profiling, database optimization and performance tuning. Performing unit and system integration testing and defect resolution supporting all stages from development to production, and providing end user support and training. Creating clear, concise and comprehensive technical documentation, including functional and detailed design, data lineage and data dictionaries, to support all phases of SDLC.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 5 years of related technical experience performing ETL development for multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions; performing all phases of SDLC in both waterfall and agile project methodologies; developing SSIS packages, stored procedures, functions, tables, views, indexes and keys using Microsoft SQL Server; designing relational and dimensional databases; scheduling batch jobs and automation; utilizing source control and performing code management within Visual Studio; performing logical and physical data modeling, data analytics and data profiling; database optimization and performance tuning; preparing technical documentation (functional and detailed design, data lineage and data dictionaries); and performing unit & system integration testing and defect resolution; and providing end user support and training.

Other: Required to work nights & weekends & be on-call during non-business hours for technical support & maintenance purposes.
