Division Information

PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

The SCCM Administrator will have responsibility to architect, design, deploy and support next generation management and software deployment solutions for the traditional desktop, server and thin client environments.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This role monitors the ongoing operation of server systems and infrastructure and provides analysis / rollout status reports to identify problems and corrective actions. This role will routinely act independently while researching and developing solutions and can complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management.

* Drive security enhancements and best practices
* Development of software automation and deployment strategies and techniques
* Development, testing, distribution, and maintenance of server and workstation images
* Packaging and sequencing software applications for local and remote workstations
* Active Directory and Group Policy administration of client devices
* Anti-virus client & definition deployment, patch management and upgrades (both operating system and application software)
* Maintenance of hardware and software license inventories
* Documentation and communication of configuration changes in support of change management processes
* Development of standards for workstations (hardware, operating system, and core applications)
* Lead departmental projects and technology initiatives
* Research and integration of new desktop technologies
* Participate in development of Virtual Desktop strategy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience architecting, designing and integrating new solutions in a large scale enterprise environment
* 5+ years of design and architectural experience implementing SMS/SCCM
* 5+ years of experience in remote software distribution (including package creation and deployment), push technology for anti-virus agents and signature files, software patches, remote control, and remote administration of workstations
* 5+ years of experience developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities
* Working knowledge of application deployment processes and ability to follow a strict workflow process for QA and User Acceptance testing
* Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows 7/10, SQL Server, MS Office 2010/2016, Office 365, Active Directory, and Azure
* Experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through system registry, file system security, Group Policy Objects (GPO) and the ability to create custom policies
* Extensive scripting & automation experience; experience utilizing a variety of languages such as SQL, T-SQL, VBScript, and/or PowerShell or other programming languages
* Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP
* Self-motivated, creative, highly organized, with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage own time effectively
* Strong team leadership skills and the ability to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities

Desired Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field
* Experience with desktop virtualization technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp
* Experience with engineering and administration VMWARE ESX and vSphere product lines
* Experience with Intune, Azure, Cloud Management Gatewayer
* Leadership and Communications qualities

Education

* B.S. in Business/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent desired
