The Office Graphics team is dedicated to empowering our users through rich, modern content experiences across the Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. We have recently invested in areas such as ink, 3D modeling, SVG, pictures and shapes and are dedicated to bringing these rich content experiences to all platforms, including Windows, Apple, Android, and the web.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion for building web components and services that integrate into our Office Online suite of web apps. You will work collaboratively with partner teams across geographies and time zones to design, build, validate, and ship a set of modern web components that will form the basis of our shared graphics web platform. You will partner across disciplines to enable rich scenarios and delight Microsoft customers in areas such as ink, shapes, and pictures across our suite of Office web apps. You will guide a team of engineers, mentoring them through this journey and providing technical and architectural leadership as we bring scalable, distributed graphics-focused components and services to our customers.

BS in Computer Science or related technical field.

8+ years of Professional Software design and development experience with at least one of C/C++/C#/Java.

Prior experience with developing complex, componentized front-end features through TypeScript and React.

Prior experience with developing large, high-volume services, with service-oriented development and cloud-based systems.

Demonstrated commitment to the success of others, as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers.

Strong technical abilities, problem solving, design, rapid prototyping, coding and debugging skills.

Good communication skills and a track record of cross-group/cross-discipline collaboration.

Quick learner who thrives in an ambiguous environment.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Excellent collaboration skills and ability to be adaptable and agile in development

Demonstrated experience as a technical lead or people manager.
