Principal Software engineer, Activations Full Stack

At Liveramp, we are on a quest to build the most flexible and scalable data marketplace. The platform underlying the marketplace ingests, analyzes, enriches and transforms tens of petabytes of data and then delivers the enriched data to our customers. Powering it is a massive Hadoop cluster with 90 petabytes of data and over 80K cores and counting.

Activations team seeks to allow users to seamlessly activate, track, and evaluate their onboarded data entirely through the use of our web and API applications. We are looking for an experienced and passionate engineer to build rich web applications and APIs to give our clients easy, intuitive, and fine-grained access for the Activations component of LiveRamp's product and services.

You will:

* Architect and implement systems that materialize our product's platform vision.
* Researching and evaluating latest technologies with constant focus to improve our processes or codebase.
* Work with a team of supportive and passionate software engineers.
* Have an impact across the entire product and engineer org by leading technical discussions in the architecture board, evangelizing best practices, and mentoring engineers and engineering teams.
* Have an impact in the broader industry by representing LiveRamp to speak at events and conferences.

About you:

* Strong ability to abstract complex problems to their essential components and design and implement elegant solutions for them.
* Experience with designing and implementing interfaces for large cross-team and cross-functional projects
* Proficient in one or more of Ruby, Python, Javascript, Django, C/C++, Go, Node.js and modern Javascript frameworks.
* You can learn from, work with, and migrate existing code bases.
* You are both productive and pragmatic. Software is only useful if it is used.
* You are comfortable using a cloud computing platform e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure

Bonus points:

* Contributions to open source projects.
* Have experience working with Ruby on Rails and React.js.
* Have presented at external events and conferences.
