Requisition Number: 30647 Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST, SENIOR Working Title: Hyperion Systems Consultant Salary: $4,842 - $9,591 monthly Job Type: Contract Department Name: 3130-HOUSING CENTRAL SERVICES Department Website URL: http://housingandhospitalityservices.ucla.edu/ Job Summary Statement: Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Budgets, the Hyperion Systems Consultant manages the operation of the Housing and Hospitality Services budgeting systems and assists the management of the technical and operational aspects of UCLA's financial planning and analysis tool. The individual is to evaluate, streamline and manage the reporting of data to financial analysts and management throughout the Housing and Hospitality Services in managing and developing new processes for creating budgets and analyzing data from various campus systems. Respond to questions about campus-wide changes and systems and assist in developing analytical tools as needed.
Work with the Director of Finance and Budgets to understand and anticipate needs of client departments and to assist in budget systems and reporting training. Responsible for the administration of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, including Oracle Enterprise Planning, Smartview, Essbase, and Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio for the organization. Develop, implement and maintain Essbase and Planning applications to support the mission and vision of Housing and Hospitality Services. Exposure to three complete implementations of Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Work with Financial Management Services and internal business units within Housing and Hospitality Services to coordinate budget loads into and production of variance reports. Collaborates with Financial Management Services and Academic Planning and Budget on new campus-wide projects to provide perspective on how Housing and Hospitality Services could utilize these systems and provide feedback and technical expertise. Demonstrated working knowledge of Hyperion Planning software in addition to Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, Analyzer, Essbase and Excel Add-In.

Advanced working knowledge of Multidimensional Databases, OLAP and Data Warehousing technologies.
Required
Demonstrated detailed working knowledge of accrual based accounting principles, policies, procedures, and practices.
Required
Demonstrated detailed understanding of conceptual budgeting processes and actual practices.
Required
Demonstrated detailed working knowledge of HTML and SQL.
Required
Demonstrated working understanding of Relational Databases.
Required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Information Server, Windows Server.
Required
Demonstrated oral and written communications skills to explain complex policies and procedures concisely, logically, and in a grammatically correct manner.

Skill in setting priorities and time management.

Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated by operational needs.

College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of FSOO, PAC, and EDB systems and how these systems relate to UCLA's Query Database and the production of the General Ledger.

The target salary for this position is between the posted minimum and $8,417 monthly.
