Job Description

The Executive Support Services Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research & Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Executive Support Services Engineer will provide Tier II/Tier III level support to MDA Senior Executive Service members (equivalent to 0-7 and above), General Officers (0-7 and above), other Military Officers (0-6 and below), and general customers located at several sites to include MDA's headquarters at National Capital Region (NCR), as well as three smaller sites throughout NCR. Duties include the following: delivering end-to-end support in accordance with IT service level agreements; ensuring all incidents are analyzed, resolved, and reported back within promised timeframes; contributing to solutions for remote work and remote work sites; contributing to MDA Enterprise projects; assisting Network Engineering with minor project work; executing manual desktop installations; researching issues/concerns; proactively conducting maintenance for customers. The position includes Hardware Engineering, COMSEC Support, and Software Troubleshooting. The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail; have creative problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; work with minimal oversight; enjoy working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The Executive Support Engineer will report to the Executive Support Services Team Lead at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Executive Support Services Engineer will work with varying degrees of oversight and will be required to provide status on a daily basis. Required to be reachable via mobile device that is provided by the customer. Must be able to support any of 3-4 locations at the NCR with reasonable notice.

Basic Requirements: Candidate must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years general experience; or an Associate's degree and 10 years general experience; or a Bachelor's degree and 8 years general experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years general experience. General experience must include 6 years' directly related experience and 3 years in a management or leadership role. Candidate must have a DoD Secret security clearance. Candidates must be enrolled in Continuing Education (CE) with a Security certification or other IAT level II 8570 compliant certification. Desired Requirements: Prior experience supporting Senior Executives Service members, General Officers, and Military officers. Prior experience in Customer Support for MDA. Experience with Remedy is strongly desired.
