About the Team

Our Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering teams champion Ellation's goal of delivering high-quality video and rich content to our users on multiple platforms. In addition to devising testing strategies and evaluating feature quality, our quality engineers take part in feature planning and design reviews, to contribute their ideas and to ensure testability.

Location: San Francisco

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV's passionate communities.

About You:

* Advanced knowledge of software QA engineering processes, test automation, build and testing frameworks, and continuous integration pipelines for SaaS platforms and mobile applications.
* Experience executing load and performance testing; ability to find application weaknesses.
* Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, debugging and documentation skills.
* Proactive and energetic individual who has an excellent ability to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate projects within a Scrum development process.
* 6 to 8 years of progressively related experience in software development and/or quality engineering.
* 5+ years managing software development and/or QE teams.
* Bachelor of Science/Masters of Science in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
* Direct experience implementing Agile methodologies for process management.
* Project management experience in an engineering discipline.
* Demonstrated flexibility with respect to business process implementation or management.
* Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical management teams.

A day in the life of our Director of QA/QE:

* Facilitate quality assurance testing for large-scale OTT platform, supporting services, tools, and client devices.
* Manage large scale projects while coordinating with offshore QA/QE, PMO, product and development teams.
* Serve as a leader and mentor for developers and QA/QE team to improve process, efficiency, and quality.
* Support and optimize continuous integration and production deployment processes.
* Support and inform release cadence.
* Work closely with teams to create test plans for upcoming features, develop automated test cases, and achieve a high level of code coverage.
* Identify opportunities for improved software development lifecycle as a champion for quality across the organization.
* Perform and oversee final checks for releases to production; validate and sign off on complex test plans.
* Create documentation of processes, systems, and framework architectures.
* Break applications in ways the developers never thought about.
