Working side by side with leading technology companies across the globe, the CPU group specifies, designs and validates all of ARM's processor IP. As an engineer on the Austin-based CPU Performance team, you join a team responsible for optimizing the performance of next-generation ARM Cortex-A class CPUs utilizing modern techniques for microarchitecture modeling, full system simulation tools, workload bring up and analysis.

What will I be accountable for?

* Workload analysis and bring up on full simulation tools (both Linux and Android)
* Analysis and profiling tools development
* Engaging with ARM's design teams to shape next-generation CPU microarchitecture through a workload-driven methodology
* Travel occasionally for training or customer meetings

Job Requirements

What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?

* MS or BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
* Masters preferred
* Minimum 6+ years of work experience in full system workload performance analysis and bring up. Familiarity with microarchitecture at the system level is preferred.
* ARM experience is not required, it is a plus.
* Experience building, configuring, and bringing up of Linux and Android on virtual environments
* Demonstrated experience working with performance models and server or mobile workload performance analysis
* Good understanding of Linux OS
* C/C++ and assembly level programming
* Experience with python or PERL for scripting
* Understanding of microarchitecture at the system and SoC levels is desirable
* Prior knowledge of SystemC / TLM2 is desirable
