About the role:

Cruise is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to scale and manage our Security Vulnerability Management Program. We're looking for an excellent communicator with technical background and a passion for security who has experience leading and managing complex initiatives across teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

* Build a holistic vulnerability management program
* Get your hands dirty by customizing workflows, building tooling, and automated reporting
* Develop program roadmaps and delivery plans for various aspects of the Security Vulnerability Management Program
* Work with product managers to ensure existing and new initiatives are prioritized and sized with acceptance criteria
* Build comprehensive and impact-driven reports to convey the effectiveness of the Vulnerability Management to various audiences within the company
* Work proactively with Engineering Managers across the organization to align expectations around SLAs for remediation and managing the related vulnerability management workflows
* Track accomplishments, misses, dependencies, and milestones related to the maturation of your program.
* Ensure planned workload and relevant resources are in sync over time
* Meticulously refine processes & tools over time
* Advocate on behalf of security and communicate the risk of a given vulnerability to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Track and report on project progress, proactively drive corrective actions as needed

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:

* 5+ years of vulnerability management, or similar experience driving cross functional programs across large, diverse organizations
* Experience working with a highly technical team
* Passion for optimization and automation
* Experience managing cross-functional security initiatives
* Demonstrated knowledge of security
* Highly collaborative, dynamic problem-solver - ability to lead, motivate and influence others even without direct reporting authority
* Ability to build automated reports to demonstrate program effectiveness
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal direction
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills & ability to work across disciplines, interacting confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to staff
* Organized, excellent attention to detail, and results oriented
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience managing a security (or related) program at a high-growth tech company
* Experience managing cross-functional security initiatives
* Professional certifications in security, compliance, or enterprise risk management
