Job Description

This role is a field-facing technology role that partners closely with RSM tax professionals to foster deep understanding of RSM's tax business goals, specific business problems and opportunities. This individual will possess a strong background in creating/using technology to meet business needs (e.g., requirements, design, development, implementations and operations) to execute the product manager's strategic vision for complex custom-developed Tax Specialty Applications.

Essential Duties:

* Works closely with Business Analysts to elicit business and system requirements related to complex business processes to deliver an end-to-end solution that includes both processes and the technology to support those processes
* Owns the user story backlogs (grooming, prioritization and refinement) under the strategic direction of the product manager (Tax Specialty Applications Sr. Director). Accepts stories and potential features. Owns approvals of delivered functionality. Participates in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality, provide team feedback, and improve team processes.
* Partners across functions as needed to coordinate delivery plans, testing, training and support. Creates and maintains Tax solution documentation as needed.
* Provides input on Tax technology roadmaps

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems preferred or equivalent experience
* Requirement elicitation & documentation skills
* Process design / modelling skills Preferred
* Business writing and solution documentation
* Use case and data modeling skills Preferred
* Able to translate customer needs into business solution designs using creative problem solving
* Able to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences

Experience:

* Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions
* Agile development experience
* Experience with product operations & maintenance
* Leading requirement elicitation & documentation Preferred
* Solution architecture experience Preferred
* Cloud solution architecture (Microsoft Azure) experience Preferred
* Development & implementation of Microsoft solutions Preferred
* Microsoft Office 365 experience Preferred
* Microsoft Office Excel solution design experience Preferred
* Development & implantation of financial, accounting or tax solutions Preferred
