The challenge:

Content Services, part of Adobe Cloud Platform, has a mission is to be the central content repository exposing an API consumed by all of Adobe's application technologies and third-party developers. We build and operate cloud scale, globally distributed services running in both Azure and AWS. Within the broader organization, we specialize in provisioning, discovery, directory and asset APIs.

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design and build the content APIs and foundation hosted service platform. You have deep experience developing reactive non-blocking solutions. Our hybrid architecture requires exposure to hypermedia and event driven interfaces as well as request/response APIs. Ideally you, will demonstrate a DevOps mindset, operational excellence and rigorous attention to robust software design to further our agenda. A strong history of collaborating across multiple organizations and knowledge of Adobe products is desired.

We need a software developer who has a shown ability to craft robust and high availability cloud scale platforms. You should have a deep understanding of and practical experience with multi-user, multi-tenant hosted solution development as well as system operations and production automation.

What you'll do:

* Utilize your technical prowess build solutions where none exist.
* Socialize and influence others to adopt your ideas and approach
* Aim to prototype and prove your designs early.
* Translate high level requirements to actionable work.
* Design, build, improve and maintain a high performance and highly scalable services
* Solve engineering problems by crafting solutions that use existing technologies.
* Define, interpret and implement a hypermedia-based API and associated event definitions.
* Plan, develop, monitor needed infrastructure in collaboration with Cloud Operations
* Promote good software engineering practices across the team

Your qualifications for success:

* 10+ years of experience developing high performance cloud services
* B.S. Education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent (M.S. degree is a plus)
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and extensive strong Java programming skills.
* Extensive experience using cloud services like Azure and/or AWS.
* Self-motivated problem-solver: a go-getter with a can-do attitude.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
