Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Job Summary:

Generate top-level requirements, specifications, requirements flow-down, CONOPS, interface requirements and perform verification and validation.

Troubleshoot and isolate failures of existing product. Identify and propose solutions to system level problems of existing product

Work with vendors to develop part specifications and resolve part failures.

Design improvements to current munitions test/reprogramming equipment product related to cost, function, and reliability.

Communicate with customer to analyze product requirements, write system, part and test specifications. Create and present system designs for customers.Analyze complex problems across multiple functional engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, & test, and recommend solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

9 years of experience with a BS in related field.

Can perform simple circuit analysis and synthesis of both analog and digital circuitry

Able to write simple PC based C programs

Knowledge in theory of operation of operating systems and compilers

Experience in aircraft weapons release systems or weapon systems

Experience in writing specifications and design documents for military customers

Experience in bringing a product to production using lean design and design for manufacturing techniques

Ability to present technical information in written and oral form with clarity

Experience with system requirements generation tools

Detailed technical hardware and software knowledge in design and operation of Personal Computers (PCs)
