About the Team
Uber is the fastest growing startup and (one of) the largest microservice deployments in history. Combining that with our vast array of bespoke tools and platforms has led to a perfect storm of a knowledge deficit in our engineering population. The role of the the Knowledge Engineering team is to level up the efficiency and happiness of engineers by decreasing the time it takes to find the right docset (through a custom search portal) and increasing the quality our docs (through a custom rating widget and content authoring tool). We have the backing of the company (being chosen as one of the few Engineering Foundations projects) and swell of support from peers. Now, heading into 2019, we need engineers to pull the many teams working on this problem together and produce a world class knowledge platform.
What You'll Do
* Design and develop high-scale and efficient services that can support our documentation platform * Design and develop web components such as feedback widgets and search knowledge cards * Collaborate with teams across Uber to meet the documentation and search needs of our engineers * Design, implement and lead sustainable end-to-end solutions across teams to improve developer happiness; * Deliver high-quality code and production ready solution
