LivePerson is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Developer Experience team as a Software Development Manager in Seattle, WA. You will lead the development of mission critical services and infrastructure that enables top brands to become fully conversational businesses. You will have a track record of leading successful Software Engineering teams. This role provides an opportunity to join a fast-growing organization and shape the future of LivePerson's Open Platform strategy.

You should be an expert in:

* API management and reverse proxy solutions.
* JSON and REST services
* Web authentication methods including OAuth, JWT, JWS, etc.
* Working with production teams to set up servers, load balancers, etc.
* Setting up a CI/CD pipeline on K8s and Docker.
* Performance testing and monitoring tools.
* Unit testing as well as contract testing testing techniques.
* Performing API and code reviews.

In this role, you will:

* Lead a team of software development engineers.
* Work with production teams to ensure a secure, scalable and reliable setup in LivePerson's global data centers.
* Develop monitoring, alerting, reporting, and performance measurement solutions for our core APIs.
* Drive an SDLC process for API management
* Establish API specification standards and auditing mechanisms.
* Collaborate with development, support and production teams to resolve API-related issues

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 6+ years professional experience in software development of large scale/large impact systems.
* 5+ years professional experience in software development management.
* 5+ years experience in leading teams following Agile methods, with teams of 2-6+ developers.
* Strong track record in designing systems for scalability, performance and reliability.

Preferred qualifications:

* Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 8+ years professional experience in software development of large scale/large impact systems.
* Expertise in Node.JS (TypeScript), LUA, and/or Go
