We're looking for software engineers in test [SDET] who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, large-scale system design, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer in test, you will work on a specific project critical to Alexa Skill Store's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

This is a mid level to senior role which is highly visible and impactful. The person will work with our architects to not only design and build the system but provide the governance and guidance to ensure we build it correct and we build it great. Responsibilities

* Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity.
* Design and build advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure.
* Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
* Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability
* Build and ensure our code artifactories are building in Continuous Integration (CI) fashion and we soon realize our dream of Continuous Delivery (CD).
* Partner with our business drivers to help analyze our current data to build usage models for the future which will become the backbone of our test planning and strategy.
* Contribute streamlined automated data for our engineering dashboards to make our data do the talk.
