Job Description

Amazon Global IT is looking for customer-obsessed Program Managers to join the team and help us deliver the next generation meeting experiences to our customers. This role will be responsible for managing audiovisual hardware deployments at Amazon corporate sites.

The right candidate will possess a strong project management background as well as focused technical experience with audiovisual technologies and large-scale hardware deployments. The candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an ever-changing environment, identify opportunities for efficiency and automation in the delivery process, and not be hindered by abrupt changes in a project. Strategic thinking, multitasking, improvisation and innovation are all important competencies to possess.

This role will require clear, concise communication, bias for action, and strong ownership to deliver successful deployments that meet Amazon's quality bar as well as timeline. Problem solving skills and thriving in high-pressure environments are essential to success in this role. The ability to influence without authority and drive effective collaboration is key in working with the numerous internal and external stakeholders involved in deployment projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Provides audiovisual subject matter expertise determining the correct hardware to be used on a deployment based on architecture, layout, infrastructure of each space.
* Manages all aspects of audiovisual vendors on deployment projects, including conducting and analyzing competitive bid between vendors, awarding contract, creating configuration documents, coordinating installation schedule, assessing performance of vendor.
* Coordinate with project stakeholders to align and adjust schedule as necessary to keep project on track.
* Act as an escalation point for the vendor, project stakeholders, and internal Amazon configuration and testing teams.
* Proactively manage and communicate any impact to deployment. Identify issues and devise contingency plans.
* Track and communicate project milestones, deliverables and risks clearly and consistently.
* Develop or update deployment processes that increase efficiency and automation
