Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

* Atleast 5 years of system software/product design/development experience in Linux systems area.
* Experience in working in a large enterprise software development team and mentoring a team of junior developers.
* Good programming /debugging skills in C/C and Python in the areas of Linux Kernel, Oracle OVM, Linux KVM, Linux I/O, network stack needed.
* Good understanding of Linux system performance debugging skills in kernel, OS, KVM, I/O, network stack highly desirable.
* Experience in provisioning, orchestrating, patching, diagnosability of Linux OS highly desirable.
* Self motivated individuals who can work independently.
* Experience in RDBMS and knowledge of Oracle RAC / ASM highly desirable.
* Job also involves working on extremely critical customer escalations of the OEL OS/KVM/OVM stack.
