Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for talented, motivated, and passionate software engineers to join our team and help build the Oracle Bare Metal Cloud (OBMC) Console. You'll help make it fast and easy for customers to build solutions on Oracle Cloud, while working with the latest and most modern web technologies available.

As a member of the team, you'll be involved in the complete software development lifecycle of the OBMC Console, including design, implementation, testing, and operations. In our small team, you'll be the voice of our customers, and influence the tools and technologies we use to build our platform. We strongly believe in agile software development, and you'll have a direct impact over how we accomplish our goals and exceed our customers' expectations.

In this role, customer focus, teamwork, and strong communications skills are absolute requirements. You should have a strong foundation built on Computer Science fundamentals, have a deep understanding of industry best-practices, and be passionate about building great software. You should have a focus in turning customer needs into elegant designs, and implementing those designs using the latest software development patterns and practices.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

* Preferred degree level (BS/MS/PhD): BS/MS
* Necessary programming languages, programs, tools, etc: Java, C#, C , Clojure, ClojureScript, TypeScript, JavaScript, Linux environments
* Additional skills/abilities that would be beneficial: Experience in web development frameworks like AngularJS and React. Experience in scalable infrastructure and distributed systems. Experience in developing software in an agile, team-based environment.
